identify-your-beats-model

Find your exact Beats model — and get just the part you need

Beats makes several distinct earbud and headphone lines — and the parts don't cross over. A Studio Buds charging case won't work with a Studio Buds+, and Powerbeats Pro hardware is completely different from Powerbeats Pro 2.

Use the methods below to pin down your exact model, then go straight to the right replacement-parts collection. Two minutes now saves a return later.

How to identify your Beats model

Find your model in the Beats app

1
Download the Beats app (free, iOS and Android) if you don't already have it.
2
Open the app with your Beats in or near the case. The app auto-detects the connected device.
3
Tap the device name at the top of the home screen to open device details.
4
Scroll to About — you'll see the full model name and firmware version. Match the model name to a card below.

Find the model number inside the charging case

1
Open the charging case lid fully.
2
Look on the interior surface — usually on the inside of the lid or along the hinge edge. Beats prints a small label with the model name and regulatory information here.
3
You'll see text like "Studio Buds+" or "Fit Pro" along with an FCC ID. The model name is what you need — match it to a card below.
4
For Powerbeats Pro models, check the inside of the case lid near the hinge — the model name is printed there in small type.

Find the model identifier on the earbud itself

1
Remove one earbud from the case and hold it under good light.
2
For Studio Buds / Studio Buds+: look on the flat inner face of the bud — small regulatory text and the model identifier are printed there.
3
For Fit Pro: check the inner face near the wing tip — the model name appears in very small print.
4
For Powerbeats Pro / Powerbeats Pro 2: look on the body of the earhook module — the model name is printed near the charging contact pins.
5
The text is small — a magnifying glass or phone camera zoom helps. Match what you see to a card below.

Find the model on the original packaging

1
Locate the original retail box your Beats came in.
2
The model name is printed prominently on the front panel — e.g., "Beats Studio Buds+" or "Powerbeats Pro 2".
3
On the side or back panel, look for a barcode sticker. It will include the model number (e.g., MQLH3LL/A for Studio Buds+ in black) and the full product name.
4
Match the model name on the box to a card below to find your replacement parts collection.

⚠️ Don't mix generations — parts are not interchangeable

Beats hardware changes significantly between product lines and generations. Before ordering, confirm your exact model:

  • Studio Buds and Studio Buds+ use different internal components — cases and buds are not cross-compatible.
  • Powerbeats Pro (2019) and Powerbeats Pro 2 (2025) share a name but very little else — hardware, cases, and ear hooks are different.
  • Fit Pro parts are unique to that model and won't fit Studio Buds or Powerbeats Pro.
  • When in doubt, check the model name printed inside the case lid before ordering.
